THE ORLANDO METSQUERADE IS ECSTATIC TO ANNOUNCE OUR SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER, LISA QUINN!!!
Meet metastatic breast cancer thriver Lisa Cooper Quinn.
Lisa was diagnosed de novo stage IV breast cancer at age 36 on July 26, 2015. She has invasive ductal carcinoma and is BRCA2 +. Her breast cancer has spread to her bones in 5 places and to her liver. She is currently on her 7th treatment in just over 3 years.
She has learned that worry won’t change anything. She tries to be happy with the time she has and spends her time with family and friends, educating others about her diagnosis and stage IV breast cancer, and helping raise money for Metavivor.
She believes research is essential in saving lives. No one knows if they will one day have metastatic breast cancer. There is no cure. The only way to stop men and women from dying from this disease is better treatment options.
